Finance Committee MeetinR Christiansen reported that he will be out of town March 24-27 and will consequently miss the Finance Committee meeting on the 24th. McAllister agreed to attend. . Two Petitions from Local Residents Woodburn reported that he has arranged to visit the two subject sites with Code Enforcement Officer Larry Squires on Thursday,. March 17th. It was suggested that they also look at the site of the Skjelstad complaint in the same area of the city. REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH Approval of 1983 Licenaes - Big Ten Supper Club and Sitzmark Ski Shop McNiesh explained that the listed licenaes have been assessed penalties for late payment; noted that the listed licenses are all renewals. Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the 1983 licenses as listed. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). 1982 Cash Financial Statement McNiesh reported that the 1982 Cash Financial Statement is recommended by the Finance Committee f~r approval. It was noted that the General Fund Reserves actually decreased in 1982. Christiansen moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the transfers and accept the 1982 Cash Financial report as sub- mitted. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) Approval to Employ Darlene Scott McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council authorize the employment of Darlene Scott at $5.10/hour as clerk/typist. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). Claims and Payroll Christiansen moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) . Pizza Hut Request for Temporary Banner McNiesh reported that the Pizza Hut, in Arden Plaza, has requested permission to advertise a "Personal Pan Pizza" program, by posting a banner on the front of the building for 4-6 weeks. . In discussion, concern was expressed that the banners destrDY the appearance of the center and distracts from other business places. Council generally concurred that the use of banners is not encour- aged. McAllister moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the temporary banner for 4-6 weeks. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). Special Council Meeting A Special Council meeting was scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th at the Mounds View City Hall to discuss the Anoka County/Blaine airport. Letter from Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department to John Buck ley Council was referred to letter from Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department re Bike Trail - Lake Josephine. -5-
