<br />.,. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />V I I I age of Arden H I I Is <br />Monday, February 14, 1983 - 7:30 p.m. <br />V I I I age Ha II <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ca I I to 0 rde r <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called <br />the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ro II Ca II <br />Present - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Diane McAllister, <br />Thomas Mulcahy, Dale Hicks, Michael Christiansen. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Planner Orlyn <br />Miller, Treasurer Donald Lamb, Clerk Administrator <br />Charlotte McNlesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Christiansen, that the Minutes <br />of the January 31st Council Meeting be approved as amended. <br />Motion carried unanimously (5-0) <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Preliminary Construction Plans - Intersection Revision at T.H. 51 <br />(Snell ing Avenue) and Hamllne Avenue <br />Council was referred to Christoffersen's letter of 2/9/83 and to <br />a sketch of the proposed intersection revision which was approved <br />by Council on November 23, 1981. Christoffersen noted that the <br />plans are in accordance with the approved preliminary layout, <br />explained that Mn/DOT Is requesting that they be contacted at <br />this time If Council has any questions, noted that final plan <br />approval wi I I be requested at a later date. <br /> <br />In discussion, Christoffersen said he feels the revision wi II be <br />a safer intersection; had suggested a right angle intersection, <br />but they apparently do not have sufficient room; noted that Mn/DOT <br />is trying to work within their existing right-of-way. <br /> <br />Council concurred that Mn/DOT be I nvi ted to attend the February 28 <br />Council Meeting to provide Counci I with additional In-put relative <br />to the intersection revision. <br /> <br />Improvement No. P83-1, Lexlnqton Avenue Improvement to County <br />Road G2 <br />Council was referred to Christoffersen's letter of 2/9/83, out- <br />lining Arden HI I Is share of the costs, estimated at $66,000, <br />and finding that the proposed Lexington Avenue Improvement P83-1 <br />Is feasible. <br /> <br />After discussion, Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that <br />Counci I adopt Resolution No. 83-10, RECEIVING REPORT AND PROVID- <br />ING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON FEBRUARY 28TH, 1983. Motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />r. <br /> <br />Woodburn compl imented Ramsey County personnel on their work with <br />the res I dents on the Lex In gton Aven ue Imp rovement p roposa I . <br /> <br />1m rovement No. SS-83-2 Sewer Extension to 1315 Red Fox Road <br />Council was referred to Christoffersen's letter of 2 II 83 which <br />describes two options for extending sanitary sewer to the Nielsen <br />property, either of which is considered feasible. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I adopt <br />Resolution No. 83-1 I, RECEIVING REPORT AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON MARCH 28,1983. Motion carried unanimously.
