<br />~ <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, January 31, 1982 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and,notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the <br />meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Thomas Mulcahy,Michael <br />Christiansen, Diane McAllister, Dale Hicks. <br /> <br />Absent - None <br /> <br />Also Present - Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Treasurer Donald <br />Lamb, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, <br />Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that the Minutes of the Jan- <br />uary 11th Council meeting be approved as submitted. Motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />None <br /> <br />~~oposed Lexington Avenue Reconstruction to County Road G2 <br />Wayne Leonard, Ramsey County Coordinating Engineer, displayed <br />plans for the proposed Lexington Avenue reconstruction from a <br />point approximately 700' north of County Road F to 200' - 300' <br />north of County Road G2, providing for two lanes northbound and <br />two lanes southbound with concrete medians for left turn lanes <br />at Control Data, Hwy. 96 and Shoreview Shopping Mall, where road <br />widens to 68' face to face, from 48' in width. <br /> <br />Leonard noted that a detached pathway is proposed on the esst side <br />to Victoria where it is proposed to croas to the west side north <br />to County Rd. G2; reported that Shoreview's pathway committee has <br />suggested that the path cross to the west side at County Road F <br />(at semaphore) instead of at Victoria; noted that this can be done, <br />if this is desired. <br /> <br />Leonard explained that the cities are responsible for acquiring <br />necessary construction and r.o.w. easement, 3/4 of curb and gut- <br />ter costs, storm drainage costs (anticipates this to be minimal); <br />estimated detached pathway cost at $34,000; $20,000 to be paid by <br />Ramsey County; balance by municipalities. <br /> <br />Leonard reported the following schedule in order to have the re- <br />construction under contract by July 1, 1983: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-municipal public hearings in February <br />-plans to highway department in early March <br />-municipal approval by mid-April. at latest <br />-County approval in May and advertise for bids <br />-bid opening in June <br /> <br />Christoffersen noted that the drainage was studied when the Karth <br />Lake area was developed; noted that internal drainage was designed <br />to carry drainage from Lexington Ave.; referred to his letter of <br />1-27-83 re cost estimates by County of Arden Hill's share of the <br />project: <br /> <br />-curb and gutter <br />-bituminous walkway <br />-right-of-way and tempo- <br />rary construction easements <br />-drainage <br />Engineer's estimate of <br />-administration, engineering, <br />legal costs @ 15% <br />Total improvement costs <br /> <br />~34,500 <br />7,700 <br /> <br />10,000 <br />5,000, plus <br /> <br />8,580 <br />$65,780 ($66,000) <br />
