<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Janusry 31, 1982 <br />Page Seven <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Christiansen reported that the Finance Committee is working on <br />projection on investments for 1983 budgeted @ 11%; may re-eval- <br />uate at 9% rate. Christiansen reported that the I Ii< I Finance <br />committee is looking for some direction from Council. In discus- <br />sion, it was noted that Council is waiting to see how Roseville's <br />experimental project works out; Council is looking for "seed <br />money" to conduct a similsr project, if feasible, possibly in <br />next year's budget. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McAllister noted that Pilgrim House is apparently permitting meet- <br />in~of various organizations at its facility in Arden Hills; sug- <br />gested they be notified that these meetings are in violation of <br />their special sanitary sewer connection deferral. <br /> <br />Council concurred that Pilgrim House be advised of this violation. <br /> <br />McAllister reported that the Cable TV Citizen Advisory Committee <br />would like to know its goals; noted that the next meeting is <br />scheduled February 10th at 7:30. In discussion it was suggested <br />that it will be necessary for the Committee to first obtain the <br />time structure Arden Hills will have, and then fill the schedule <br />in the best interest of the City. <br /> <br />McAllister reported the Committee has scheduled the second Thurs- <br />day of each month for its regular meetings. <br /> <br />Hicks reported that he is on the YSB finance committee which is <br />currently determining the portion of the budget to be funded by <br />the cities; will be meeting with Chris Clausen relstive to Arden <br />Hills' participation. (Youth Service Bureau). <br /> <br />Woodburn referred Council to correspondence from Lynden (1-17-83) <br />re manufactured housing. Council concurred that a copy of the <br />letter be forwarded to Planning Commision Chairman Winiecki, sug- <br />gesting that the matter be deferred pending apparent further leg- <br />islation. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIE~H <br /> <br />1982 Interest Rate on Temporsry Transfers <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 1-13-83. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by McAllister that 11.4% be used to <br />calculate interest on temporary transfers and on the balance due <br />to Allied Painting. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />1982 Revised Use of Federal Revenue Sharin~ Monies <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 1-27-83. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council schedule the <br />first hearing On the 1982 Revised Use of Federal Revenue Sharing <br />Monies at 8:30 p.m. on February 28th, as listed in memo. Motion <br />carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, ~hat Council approve the <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />School Bus Parking <br />McNiesh reported that school buses are now lining up on County Rd. <br />&2 in the afternoons; Sheriff Deputy reports this does not seem to <br />create any traffic hazards or problems.
