CONSENT ITEM - 8B <br />,-AIkEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: August 11, 2025 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Community Development Director <br />Budgeted Amount: Estimated Amount: Funding Source: <br />$187,239 (Salary & Benefits) $52,104 (Salary Only-4 Various Funds <br />(Grade 21, Step 4) months) <br />(Benefits TBD) <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• The hiring of Jacob Reilly to the position of Community Development Director at Grade 21 <br />Step 4, and at 37 months (Year 4) on the PTO scale with a 40 hour credit of PTO, all other <br />normal City benefits apply. <br />Discussion <br />The City has had a vacancy for the Community Development Director role since August 2024. <br />Following recruitment processes in March and June, in which candidates were interviewed by a City <br />staff panel followed by a panel comprised of City Councilmembers, Jacob Reilly has been selected <br />for Council consideration.
