This past spring,
the City Council gave direction to move forward with planning efforts and to form a subcommittee.
The 75th Anniversary Planning Committee would be comprised of two Council liaisons, Staff
liaisons and volunteers.
An article to recruit volunteers was featured in the City's April/May newsletter and outreach was
also included on the City's website under News/Announcements as well as social media. It is
important to note that while Staff is presenting Resolution 2025-053 to formally establish this
committee and appoint members, the application to volunteer remains open and is available on the
Commissions & Committees page on our website — future applications will be considered.
Applications were reviewed by the Council liaisons for this committee, Councilmember Holden and
Councilmember Monson. It is recommended that Council consider adopting Resolution 2025-053
and that the following individuals be appointed to the 75th Anniversary Planning Committee:
Attachment
A: Resolution 2025-053
• Greg Rubenstein
• Marcie Jefferys
• Rita Lamatsch
• Dan Lamatsch
• Steve Shumaker
