Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> Request to Extend Time for Payment of Final Installment of Park <br /> Dedication - Christianson/Heimbach Subdivision <br /> McAllister moved, seconded by JOhnson, that Council approve defer- <br /> red paymen t of the final park dedication installment for the <br /> Christianson/Heimbach subdivision until the sale of the third lot <br /> or January 1, 1984, whichever occurs firs t. Motion carried usan- <br /> imously (5-0). <br /> Cit of Mounds View Re uest to Su ort Efforts to Prevent Ex an- <br /> sion of the Anoka Blaine Airport <br /> In discussion, it was noted that the purpose of the proposed ex- <br /> pansion is to re lieve the maj or airporta, taking smaller traffic <br /> from the maj or airports and providing a smoother flow of traffic in <br /> the area; a general up-grading is proposed which can support com- <br /> muter service eventually, but it is not proposed to accommodate <br /> commercial aircraft. <br /> Mulcahy said he is not convinced the expansion is needed by private <br /> aircraft: is inclined to support Mounds View's request; feels all <br /> towers will have to have strobe lights, if the expans ion is approved; <br /> feels more study is needed. <br /> No Council action was taken. <br /> Ramsey County League Report on Municipal Court System <br /> It was noted that an informational meeting will be held at the <br /> Venetian Inn at 7:30 p.m. on January 19 th relative to the munic- <br /> ipal court system. <br /> No Council action was taken <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> . County Road E/Hamline Ave. Acces s Prob lem <br /> Johnson reported that he could not see a problem at the inter- <br /> section: aignals seem to be functioning properly; will call com- <br /> plainant. <br /> It was suggested that complainant present his prob lem to the Pub lie <br /> Safety Committee at its January meeting. <br /> Wingert Memorial <br /> Johnson has plans ready for Council's consideration in early 1983. <br /> Briarknoll Pedestrian Trail (Briarknoll 1) <br /> Council concurred that the developer be req ues ted to complete the <br /> blacktopping of the 5' wide path (Indian Oaks Trail to Norma Ave. ) <br /> as required when plat was approved (Council Minutes of 4-17-78). <br /> -3- <br />
