• City Government <br /> Arden Hills has a Mayor-Council form of government using the optional Plan A, <br /> which provides for the election of a Mayor and four Councilmembers. The City <br /> Administrator is appointed by the City Council. <br /> Council meetings are held at City Hall at 7:30 p.m. the second and last Mondays <br /> of each month. Persons wishing to present matters to the Council are asked to call <br /> the Administrator's office (633-5676). All meetings are open to the public. <br /> Several committees are active in Arden Hills: Parks and Recreation; Public Works <br /> and Safety; Finance; Human Rights; and Economic Development. Committee <br /> meetings are held on a regular basis and are open to the public. For information <br /> call City Hall. <br /> Police Protection is provided on a 24 hour basis by the Ramsey County Sheriff <br /> Fire protection is furnished by the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department. The <br /> • insurance rating for Arden Hills is 5. <br /> Recommendations for planning and zoning are made by the Planning <br /> Commission. This seven person board meets the first Wednesday of each month. <br />
