• I <br /> • Parks and Recreation <br /> In Arden Hills there are at least 16 pieces of publicly owned land comprising of <br /> 147 acres usable for various types of recreation. These pieces are owned by both <br /> the County and the City. <br /> Tony Schmidt County Park on Lake Johanna offers swimming, boating, <br /> picnicking and a ball field. <br /> Charles Perry Park is the City's largest park and includes several softball <br /> diamonds, soccer fields and a hockey rink. Also included are picnic areas, scenic <br /> beauty and a trail system. <br /> Pedestrian trails are also being aggressively pursued in Arden Hills. Currently, <br /> there are about 6 miles of trail developed which connect a number of the City <br /> Parks and Ramsey County open space areas. <br /> The City also operates and active recreation program schedule. These programs <br /> • are operated year round and are available to citizens of all ages. These programs <br /> include everything from skating, swimming, tennis, and soccer to ski trips, archery <br /> clinics, and firearm safety. <br /> • <br />
