August Council Meeting Schedule After discussion, the following August meeting dates were scheduled: . August 2, Special Council/Public Safety Committee Meetin@ with Youth Service Bureau at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall August 9, Regular Council Meeting - 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall August 23, Specisl Council Meeting - 7:30 p.m., Village Hall, (Assessment Hearings) August 30, Regular Council Meeting - 7:30 p.m., Village Hall Budget Guidelines Council was referred to McNiesh's memo requesting Councits recom- mended percentage to be used for budget purposes for salaries and interest on investments. Council concur~ed that 6% for salaries and 12% interest on invest- ments be used. Request for Release of Highway Right-of-Way McNiesh reported that another meeting is scheduled on August 16th in Room 356 County Court House at 7:30 a.m. re this triangle par- cel. The County Engineer has requested in-put from affected residents and the City Planner. Council concurred that Planner Miller be autho- rized to attend the meeting, and to determine the number of building sites the parcel will accommodate without variances. Super Fund Money - McNiesh reported that New Brighton, Arden Hills and Shoreview have been added to the list of communities to receive Super Fund Money for the long range solution of contaminated water; noted that if the arsenal is the sole source, the money cannot be used, because it is federal property; all data source of contamination should be available by mid-October.
