<br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />.. <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />May 24, 1982 <br /> <br />In discussion, Council noted that Roseville conducted a one day <br />trash dumping event where residents csn drop off trash, for dis- <br />posal by the City; appsrently this service is utilized by many <br />residents. It waa noted that the Arden Hills Jaycees Chapter is <br />asking for service projects; possibly would be interested in con- <br />ducting a City clean-up. <br /> <br />McNiesh was requested to contact Jaycees to see if th~y would be <br />interested in a City clean-up project; also to call P.C.A. relative <br />to leaf burning possibility. <br /> <br />Parks (McAllister) <br />.It was reported that the new light meters have been installed at <br />the M.V.H.S. tennis courts; light bulbs will be replaced when <br />City Tree Removal Contractor has "cherry picker" in the City; parks <br />are being sprayed for dandelions - will be sprayed again in the <br />fall. <br /> <br />McAllister reported that the Parking Agreement has been executed <br />and notorized by Trinity Lutheran Church; noted it may be neces- <br />sary to install a "satellite" at Hazelnut Park; patrons of the <br />park are utilizing the church restrooms, which are not "public <br />property". <br /> <br />McAllister reported a Parks sub-committee is looking into the need <br />for additional league fields and lands available. <br /> <br />Public Safety (Johnson) <br /> <br />Stop Signs <br />It was reported that the Committee has tabled its recommendation <br />relative to existing "stop" signs at three intersections, pending <br />contact with immediate area residents; reported that a Sheriff <br />Deputy recommends the following: <br /> <br />-Glenview Avenue/Glenview Court <br />remove sign on Glenview Ave. <br />retain sign on Glenview Court <br />-Fairview Ave. and Crystal Ave. <br />remove sign on Fairview Ave. <br />retain sign on Crystal Ave. <br />-Valentine Ave. and Valentine Court-both should remain <br /> <br />Junk Cars <br />Three areas of "junk cars" were reported. McNiesh reported that <br />these were given to Code Enforcement Officer to verify illegality <br />and to contact violators. <br /> <br />Dump Site <br />It was reported that the property at the southeast corner of Hwy. <br />96 and 10 ia being used as a dump site. It was suggested that the <br />owner be requeated to chain the access points to the property, <br />after the debris has been removed. <br /> <br />Local Programming of Cable TV (McAllister) <br />Council concurred that the Cable Communication Citizen Advisory <br />Committee be delegated to make recommendations to Council for <br />local Cable TV programming; persons interested in appointment to <br />this ad hoc committee should contact the Village office. <br /> <br />Town Crier <br />McNiesh reported that she sent applications to two persons who <br />were interested in appointment as editor of the Town Crier <br /> <br />Wingert Memorial <br />Flag pole area with spot lighted flag and appropriate landscaping <br />was suggested. McNiesh was requested to ask the available amount <br />of the memorial, and to request Parks Director Buckley to propose <br />appropriate landscape plans for Council's consideration. <br /> <br />ISO Letter <br />Johnson referred Council to Insurance Services Office letter of <br />5-17-82 relative to an inspection of the Lake Johanna Volunteer <br />Fire Department. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
