<br />. <br /> <br />~ Minufes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />April 12, 1982 <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the <br />Claims and two Payrolls as submitted. Motion carried unanimously <br />(4-0) . I <br /> <br />COUNCIL LIAISON REPORTS <br /> <br />McAllister - reported the Trinity Lutheran Church Parking Agree- <br />ment is ready, pending notorization of signatures; reported CDC <br />is working on their Parking Agreement. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Johnson - reported the Fire Board anticipates a response from the <br />LJVF Dept. re the min./max. proposal at its next meeting. <br /> <br />Johnson moved Council approval of the revised draft of the letter <br />as submitted by Public Safety Committee Chairman Susanna Taylor. <br />Motion was seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />Johnson reported that Ramsey County Sheriff favors the St. Paul <br />Drug Paraphernalia Ordinance; hopes other citiss will adopt it. <br /> <br />After discussion, Johnson moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council <br />authorize the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance draft patterned <br />after the St. Paul Drug Paraphernalia Ordinance. Motion carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />Woodburn - referred Council to Rice Creek Watershed District <br />Minutes relative to raised manholes in area south of County Road <br />E2. McNiesh was requested to check with Christoffersen as to <br />whether the number of manholes to be raised is the same as dis- <br />cussed at the joint meeting. <br /> <br />Woodburn reported that Christopher Mullin, 1793 Gramsie Road, is <br />one of the 1982 Finalists in the presidential Scholars Program <br />and has been awarded a certificate by the Presidents Commission <br />on Preaidential Scholars. McNiesh was requested to prepare a <br />resolution congratulating him on his accomplishment. <br /> <br />Woodburn reported that Bethel College is having a specisl event <br />on April 30th recognizing the retirement of President Lundquist, <br />and inviting the.~ity Council to send s greeting. McNiesh wss <br />requested to prepare a Resolution. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Appointment <br />Mayor Woodburn appointed Martin Grogan as 2nd alternate member of <br />the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council ratify the <br />appointment.
