Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Letter re Rubbish Collection-Orlen Pederson <br />Council was referred to letter from Mr. Pederson (2-26-82) and to <br />memo relative to current licensed rubbish hsuler requirements for <br />fees charged. <br /> <br />Council concurred that a notice be placed in the Town Crier re- <br />minding residents to promptly return garbage cans to their in- <br />conspicuous storage locations as soon after garbage pickup as <br />poss ib Ie . <br /> <br />Drug Paraphernalia Ordinance <br />Council requested Ramsey County Sheriff's comments relative to <br />St. Paul's Drug Paraphernalia Ordinance (Zacharias & Spencer). <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MC NIESH <br /> <br />Resignation - Landscape Inspector <br />McNiesh reported the resignation of Landscape Inspector Gene <br />KrUCkenberg. <br /> <br />I <br />( <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Hicks, Mayor Woodburn appointed Ervin <br />Oelke as landscape inspector for Arden Hills for 1982. <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Hollenhorst, thst Council ratify <br />the Mayor's appointment. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Increase in Rubbish Hauler Fees - Poor Richards Inc. <br />Council wa. referred to memo notification of an increase in rub- <br />bish hauler rates by Poor Richards Inc. effective March 1, 1982. <br /> <br />MnDOT Agreement re County Road E Traffic Signals <br />Deferred. <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br />Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council approve the <br />Claims and Payroll a. submitted. Motion carried unsnimously (5-0). <br /> <br />Council concurred that all park leaders and coaches checks from now on <br />will only be prepared with the regular claims. <br /> <br />1 <br />) <br /> <br />LIAISON REpORTS <br /> <br />Hollenhorst noted an illegal parking problem in the Glenview Ave/ <br />Glenview Court area; suggested Sheriff be alerted to the problem. <br /> <br />McAllister referred Council to proposed Newsletter Policy State- <br />ment; noted areas requiring "Committee" approval which she suggested <br />should require "Council" approval. <br /> <br />McAllister reported that Eibensteiner intends to re-state his park <br />dedication offer of $6000 for Royal Hills Addition; if not accepted, <br />will have property appraised. <br /> <br />Johnson referred to ISO letter of 3-22-82; noted that the inspection <br />by ISO is to determine insurance classification only; suggested a <br />private inspection be made of the department if an inspection is <br />desired by tpe Fire Board. <br /> <br />McNiesh noted that Arden Hills has installed water in the north <br />portion of the City since the last fire classification; Shoreview <br />has also installed additional water mains; suggested' talking to <br />Manager Gary Dickson to coordinate the information requested for <br />ISO inspection. McNiesh noted that Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire <br />Dept. now has a "pager" system vs the monitor system prior to the <br />last fire classification. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
