<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Page seven <br /> <br />March 6, 1962 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />McAllister reported that the Ice rinks are closed for the season. <br />Reported that she and Parks Director Buckley met with CDC reiatlve <br />to the Cummings Park/CDC proposed parking agreement; noted that the <br />CDC representative did not seem to oppose the use; CDC wi II report <br />It's decision to Buckley. <br /> <br />McAI lister reported that Royal Hi I Is developer Marcel Eibenstelner <br />has agreed to a $6,000 cash park dedication In addition to paying <br />for the extension of Royal Lane to Floral Drive, and wil I waive <br />his right to appeal assessments. <br /> <br />It was suggested that $6,000-$10,000 for the 10-acre parcel seems <br />more appropriate based on 10% of value. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst referred Council to the Mlnates of the Human Rights <br />Commission Meeting to which residents of Cummings Lane were <br />Invited; reported their concerns re increased bus and automobile <br />traffic because of the group home, and communication problems; <br />reported that a letter to the owner of the home wll I be drafted <br />by HRC Chairman Barb Kehrberg, conveying the n.tghborhood con- <br />ce rn s . <br /> <br />Hollenhorst referred Council to a draft of a letter intended to <br />be distributed .to the Arden Hills business communitv. Council <br />concurred that the letter should be from the Arden Hills City <br />Council and Human Rights Commission, and be signed by Mayor <br />Woodburn. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst reported that Commissioner Don Salverda holds weekly <br />Friday breakfast meetings at 6:30 a.m. at Sambos restaurant on <br />various Issue of general Interest; Council is Invited to attend. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst reported that the Planning Commission recommends <br />_that Council consider aggressive and approptiate action to Improve <br />Flaherty station prop. It was noted that some business people In <br />the area are working on the matter; suggested combination of <br />parcels creates an Irregular and difficult development site. <br /> <br />Woodburnreterred Council to Attorney Lynden's letter opinion of <br />~/4/82, defining the "Cadi Il~c nlgnt" proposed as an Illegal <br />lottery under the laws of the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />McNiesh was requested to relay Lynden's opinion to McGuires. <br /> <br />Woodburn reported that he met with Robert Orth and Jim Lynden <br />relative to the proposed Floral Park road. <br /> <br />Ad.! ou rnment <br />Johnson moved, <br />at 12: 14 a.m. <br /> <br />seconded by Hol lenhorst, that the meeting adjourn <br />Motion carried unanimously.
