Motion <br />carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Committee Appointments <br />Woodburn requested Council's suggestions for Committee appointments. <br /> <br />Woodburn proposed the appointment of Mary Alice Slick as Planning <br />Commission 1st Alternate member, as recommended by Johnson. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by MeAl lister, that Councl I approve the <br />appointment of Mary Allee Slick as 1st Alternate Planning Commls- . <br />slon member, and Peter McCal I as a regular Planning Commission <br />member. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Johnson moved, seconded by Hicks, that Mary Alice Slick be deleted <br />from the Board of Appeals membership list. Motion carried unani- <br />mously.(5-0) <br /> <br />Committee Liaison Appointments <br />Woodburn requested Council 's Ideas and suggestions relative to <br />Committee liaison appointments; noted that, In order to balance <br />load obligations, he is considering possible shifting of appoint- <br />ments. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Claims and Payroll <br /> <br />After review and discussion, Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Hicks, <br />that Council approve the Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion <br />carried unanimously, (5-0) <br /> <br />Glenhlll Road Reconstruction <br />McNlesh referred Council to her memo of March 5th re Petl ti on re <br />Glenhl I I Road Improvement; noted that the four Arden HI I Is resi- <br />dents have advised that they are not Interested In the Improvement <br />at this time If the assessment wi I be in excess of 25%. <br /> <br />After discussion, Councl I concurred that McNlesh advise Rosevl lie <br />by letter of Arden HI lis resident response re the petitioned <br />Glenhl II Road reconstruction. <br /> <br />COUNCIL LIAISON REPORTS <br /> <br />Johnson queried whether Councl I desires the Public Safety Commit- <br />tee to review the Hamllne Avenue speed reports from Ramsey County <br />Sheriff for recommendations to Counci I re suggested traffic <br />contro Is. <br /> <br />It was decided that law enforcement of speed should be sufficient <br />traffic control. <br /> <br />Johnson referred Council to a quote received for private Inspection <br />of the fire department: asked if Council feels an Inspection Is . <br />critical at this time If an ISO Insoectlon cannot be conducted untl <br />1985. <br /> <br />After discussion, Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that <br />Council adopt Resolution No. 82-19, REQUESTING THE INSURANCE <br />SERVICES OFFICE TO CONDUCT A REGULAR INSPECTION OF THE LAKE JOHANNA <br />VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT. PRIOR TO DECEMBER 31, 1983. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Johnson reported request from Ramsey County Sheriff that Arden <br />HI I Is adopt a Drug Paraohenalia Ordinance. <br /> <br />Council delayed action pending results of appeal of St. Paul's <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
