<br />'~inutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />February 22, 1982 <br /> <br />A transparency was shown of the Adopted Proposed Use, Actual Cost <br />and Suggested Revised Use. <br /> <br />After determining that there were no comments from the floor, the <br />Public Hearing was closed at 8:58 p,m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that <br />Council accept the revised use of Federal Revenue Sharing Monies, <br />aa suggested. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />Proposals for Cable TelevisioE....E!_anchise in Arden Hills (8:45 p.m.) <br />Mayor Woodburn opened the public hearing at 9:00 p.m. Clerk Admin- <br />istrator McNiesh verified that the Notice of Hearing was published <br />in the New Brighton Bulletin on February 11, 1982. <br /> <br />Wm, Bauer reported that the North Suburhan Cable Commission has <br />three applicants: <br /> <br />Storer North Suburban Cable Communications <br />Teleprompter of the North Suburbs, Inc. <br />United-Zylstra Communication Corporation (United Cable Tele- <br />vision Corporation) <br /> <br />Bauer explained that the applicants will make their individual <br />presentations at a Public Hearing on March 25th; purpose of to- <br />night's hearing is to receive public input, not applicant input. <br />Bauer said he is currently reading the consultant's evaluations <br />and has received comments from interested groups (schools, library, <br />public television etc.) <br /> <br />After determining that there were no comments from the floor, the <br />public hearing was closed at 9:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Bauer said he will welcome calls relative to questions Council <br />may receive. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br />(absent) <br /> <br />Investments <br />Clerk Administrator McNiesh reported the following investments: <br /> <br />Feb. 16th - $209,211.95 @ 16.2%, maturing June 16, 1982 <br />(4 mos.) <br /> <br />Feb. 19th - <br /> <br />$104,082.02 @ 15.5%, maturing April 19, 1982. <br />(2 mos.) <br />cf(6/, '}/7 /1 <br />SOC1,iU.lT @ 14.5%, maturing March 19,1982 <br />(l mo.) <br /> <br />Feb. 18th - <br /> <br />McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council ratify the <br />Treasurer's investments as reported. Motion carried unanimously <br />(4-0). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Street Sweeping Agre~e'n t--=~_Ei.lt!!_t2!lj Arde!,__Il~l.l--,,_ <br />Council was referred ~o Public Works Committee Minutes of 2-17-82. <br />In discussion, it was noted that Supervisor Johansen recommends <br />cooperating with New Brighton for street sweeping this year; sees <br />no problem in waiting until New Brighton streets are swept because <br />Arden Hills usually sweeps later anyway; also, because it is a <br />slack time in the Public Works Dept., foresees no problems in <br />supplying the equivalent hour~ of labor to New Brighton. <br /> <br />Hollenhorst moved that Council approve the Street Sweeping Agree- <br />ment between the City of New Brighton and the City of Arden Hills <br />for one year. Motion was seconded by Johnson and carried unani- <br />mously (4-0). <br /> <br />-3- <br />
