After discussion, McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council accept the revised use of Federal Revenue Sharing Monies, aa suggested. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). Proposals for Cable TelevisioE....E!_anchise in Arden Hills (8:45 p.m.) Mayor Woodburn opened the public hearing at 9:00 p.m. Clerk Admin- istrator McNiesh verified that the Notice of Hearing was published in the New Brighton Bulletin on February 11, 1982. Wm, Bauer reported that the North Suburhan Cable Commission has three applicants: Storer North Suburban Cable Communications Teleprompter of the North Suburbs, Inc. United-Zylstra Communication Corporation (United Cable Tele- vision Corporation) Bauer explained that the applicants will make their individual presentations at a Public Hearing on March 25th; purpose of to- night's hearing is to receive public input, not applicant input. Bauer said he is currently reading the consultant's evaluations and has received comments from interested groups (schools, library, public television etc.) After determining that there were no comments from the floor, the public hearing was closed at 9:10 p.m. Bauer said he will welcome calls relative to questions Council may receive. REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB (absent) Investments Clerk Administrator McNiesh reported the following investments: Feb. 16th - $209,211.95 @ 16.2%, maturing June 16, 1982 (4 mos.) Feb. 19th - $104,082.02 @ 15.5%, maturing April 19, 1982. (2 mos.) cf(6/, '}/7 /1 SOC1,iU.lT @ 14.5%, maturing March 19,1982 (l mo.) Feb. 18th - McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, that Council ratify the Treasurer's investments as reported. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). . OTHER BUSINESS Street Sweeping Agre~e'n t--=~_Ei.lt!!_t2!lj Arde!,__Il~l.l--,,_ Council was referred ~o Public Works Committee Minutes of 2-17-82. In discussion, it was noted that Supervisor Johansen recommends cooperating with New Brighton for street sweeping this year; sees no problem in waiting until New Brighton streets are swept because Arden Hills usually sweeps later anyway; also, because it is a slack time in the Public Works Dept., foresees no problems in supplying the equivalent hour~ of labor to New Brighton. Hollenhorst moved that Council approve the Street Sweeping Agree- ment between the City of New Brighton and the City of Arden Hills for one year. Motion was seconded by Johnson and carried unani- mously (4-0). -3-
