Minutes of Regular Council Meeting Village of Arden Hills Monday, January 11, 1982 - 7:30 p.m. Village Hall ; Call to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. ,. Roll Call Preaent - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Maurice Johnson, Diane McAllister ~ Absent - Councilman Janet Hollenhorst Also Preeent - Village Engineer Donald Christoffersen, Planner Orlyn Miller, Treasurer Donald Lamb, Clerk Admin- istrator Charlotte McNiesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. Approval of Minutes McAllister moved, seconded by Johnson, thst Council approve the Minutes of the December 28, 1981 Council Keeting as amended, and the Minutes of the January 4, 1982 Council Meeting as submitted. Motion carried unanimously (3-0). BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR Request for Wsiver of Water Permit Fee - 1137 Edgewater Ave. Council was advised that St. Odelia Church has requested, on be- half of the homeowner, that the water permit fees be waived for connection of house at 1137 Edgewater Ave. to municipal water, pending return of the homeowner who is currently hospitalized. It was reported that the private well and pump are in need of re- pair and the house is being renovated. After discussion, Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council authorize issuance of the water connection permit (1137 Edgewater Ave.), waiving the $90.50 permit/meter deposit fees un- til change of ownership of the property. Motion csrried unanimous- ly (3-0). REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN Resolution No. 82-7, Receiving Report and Providing for Public Hearing (Royal Hills) Council was referred to report on the feasibility of serving the proposed Royal Hills Addition with streets, drainage facilities, sewer and water. It was noted that the report contains street options: cul-de-sac (within park) and street connection (from plat to Floral Drive through the park) ~ Johnson moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council adopt Reso- lution No. 82-7, Receiving the feasibility report for proposed Improvement SS-W-P-SP 81-5 and scheduling the Public Hearing on February 1, 1982 at 8:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously (3-0). McAllister noted that the Preliminary Plat of Royal Hills has not been approved to date; expreseed her concerns relative to the 85' lot widths proposed. Potential Municipal Water Connection - Arden Manor Council discussed with Engineer Christoffersen potential costs of connection of Arden Manor to the municipal water system, should they determine to connect (msy connect or deepen their well).
