This information has been included in the Council's packets. He noted it is <br />published weekly while the Legislature is in session and every two weeks when not in session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski stated she finds it very helpful and informative, and noted she has <br />her own subscription. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hicks stated he has an opportunity to read it when it is included in his packet. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst noted that there were 2,100 bills submitted for this legislative session. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger noted an invitation was received from the Shoreview Public Safety Committee, <br />inviting members of other Public Safety Committees. City Managers, and City's elected or <br />appointed officials to a special joint meeting on February 22, 1996. He continued that at the <br />meeting, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department will discuss a new citizen involvement <br />program calls V.I.P.S. (Volunteers Involved in Public Safety). <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger noted that due to the tabling of two February 7, 1996 Planning Commission items, <br />the Commission Worksession would likely be postponed until later this year. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski noted that Council member Malone has done an excellent job <br />communicating concerns regarding the bill appropriating funds for communities complying with <br />the 1995 Land Planning Act. <br /> <br />Councilmember Keirn noted she will not be at the Finance Committee meeting, as she has a work <br />conflict. Mr. Fritsinger stated he will forward any information from the meeting to <br />Councilmember Keirn. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst noted that he has been notified, as State law mandates, of wetland district <br />mitigation issues with the cities of Blaine and Centerville. He noted that he has no comments <br />regarding these issues. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested that Staff follow up on the burglary increases noted in the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff's report. Mayor Probst requested identifying if the burglaries are random or if <br />neighborhoods are being targeted. <br />
