<br /> I <br /> Public Works Superintendent Stafford advised the Council on the County's support for I <br /> several optic an installations within the City. Staff was directed to inform the County that .. <br /> it supported opticons when necessary and that the City would budget in 1997 to pay for <br /> the 1996 project. <br /> Mr. Stafford also updated the Council regarding the possibility of extending the I <br /> watermain along Old Highway 10 to residents by Round Lake. This area is not currently <br /> serviced by municipal water. Council directed staff to proceed with a feasibility study and I <br /> hold an informational meeting with residents to discuss the proposed project. <br /> Parks & Recreation Director Walsh indicated that Earthday will be in April and local boy I <br /> scouts will be performing community service by picking up trash in park and trail <br /> locations. <br /> c. T.e. Field & Company I <br /> Mark Lenz, T.C. field & Company, advised the Council as to his findings while <br /> reviewing the insurance coverage carried by the City. The Council should consider I <br /> changes in its boiler and machinery, open meeting and excess liability coverages. The <br /> City should also review managed care for its Workers Compensation coverage. <br /> Councilmember Hicks requested that these items be reviewed and discussed at the earliest I <br /> opportunity. The Council concurred. <br /> d. Administrator Comments eI <br /> Administrator Fritsinger reviewed several issues with the Council. Mr. Fritsinger advised I <br /> the Council ofliability concerns regarding the construction of Pascal A venue at twenty- <br /> one feet. <br /> e. Council Comments I <br /> Councilmembers briefly reviewed several subjects with those in attendance. <br /> Councilmember Malone asked that the Council be given an opportunity to review I <br /> proposed assessments related to the 1996 street reconstruction projects prior to formal <br /> public hearings. <br /> Mayor Probst will be absent from the April 8, 1996 Council meeting. I <br /> f. Education Update I <br /> Mayor Probst briefly discussed his attendance at the 1996 National League of Cities <br /> Conference. <br /> g. 1996 Ramsey County Street Improvement Plans I <br /> The Council requested that staff continue to track the proposed County CIP projects and I <br /> involve the County in the 1997 Budget discussions. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 7:02 p.m. .. <br /> I <br />, <br />, <br />
