He stated that each area is being asked for $500,000, and the local hockey <br />association will front the $500,000. He stated no city money is being requested, just <br />guaranteeing the revenue funds over 20 years. He stated a drafting committee meeting will be <br />held Wednesday, May 1, 1996, and Ms. Walsh will be attending. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the League of Minnesota Cities is looking for a Policy Committee member <br />if anyone was interested. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the Legislative Review Sessions updates will be held in Brooklyn Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the Mounds View Community EducationlVision Committee meeting will be <br />held Thursday, May 2,1996 at 7:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated that Ramsey County and St. Paul are proposing to combine their Human <br />Services Department into one entity. I-Ie stated he is concerned about the potential to cause <br />suburban residents to finance city projects, and that a number of meetings will be held to discuss <br />this. He stated the Council should offer their comments at the upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Hicks moved and Malone seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m. <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Brian Fritsin <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />NOTICE OF MEETINGS <br /> <br />The next regular City Council meeting will be held May 13, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. at New Brighton <br />City Hall. <br />
