Mayor Probst explained the riprap is now buried in <br />sand and needs to be addressed. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst reported that four mayors and staff continue to meet quarterly to address a number <br />of issues including the proposed National Sports Center quad hockey arena proposed to be <br />located in Blaine. He explained there will be more information presented on this issue but he is <br />not optimistic this project will obtain the support needed to move forward since the deadline is <br />July 15th so it may need to be delayed a year. Mayor Probst stated a question was raised if there <br />should be City support to provide a better benefit to the Mounds View and lrondale schools by <br />considering the option to locate a facility within Arden Hills via the use of TCAAP property. <br />This question may be further discussed with the National Guard. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated TCAAP has pledged support of an athletic field so letters are being <br />written regarding this matter to Congressman Vento. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst reported there was an AMM mailing and they are looking for members to serve on <br />the policy committee. He requested input from Councilmembers if they know anyone who may <br />be interested. Mr. Fritsinger advised that he will serve on LMC committees and Mr. Post has <br />submitted his name to serve on the revenues committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst announced the Suburban Chamber of Commerce meeting this Wednesday. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski thanked staff members who were responsible for working with <br />residents to satisfy their concern regarding assessments. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br /> <br />M lone moved and Keirn seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8 :50 p.m. <br />he IOn carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />~~- <br />Bri~:~tsi~;~ <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />NOTICE OF MEETINGS <br /> <br />The next regular City Council meeting will be held June 24, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. at New Brighton <br />City Hall. <br />
