First-come, <br />first-served <br />● Pickup Event: June 7, 2025 1-3pm, at City Hall; Fully run by citizen volunteers and 2 <br />Tree Trust staff <br />● Outcome: All trees sold; very strong resident interest and positive response as <br />evidenced by resident survey. 85% of respondents said they want to purchase a tree <br />next year; 12% said “maybe” (see full results in Appendix) <br /> <br />The pilot demonstrated a clear appetite for programs that promote environmental sustainability <br />while offering direct value to residents. Feedback obtained from the survey included comments <br />such as the following: <br />● “We were so excited about this opportunity. Thank you!!” <br />● “We view this as a wonderful investment of city resources!” <br />● “It’s great that Arden Hills has a tree sale- I think it’s important to replace lost trees. I like <br />● the idea of pollinator and fruit trees too.” <br />● “Thanks--Excellent service and I loved this benefit!” <br /> <br /> <br />Proposed 2026 Program <br />Key Elements <br />● Continue partnership with Tree Trust <br />● Offer 50-75 trees to Arden Hills residents <br />● Maintain $45 resident purchase price (requires City to allocate budget) <br /> <br />● Pickup location remains City Hall parking lot <br /> <br />● Tree Trust handles online tree orders, logistics, communications, and volunteer <br />coordination (as opposed to city staff handling) <br /> <br />Comparable Programs in Other Cities <br />Many other fiscally responsible Twin cities communities run similar programs with success: <br />● Roseville: Offers 50–100 trees annually at $40; fully managed online; typically sells out <br />quickly. “Our annual tree sale is wildly popular.
