Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> Change Order No, 4, Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-84-1 and 84-3, Roval Hills <br /> North/McClung Third Addition <br /> . Barry Peters explained the revision in the contract date at the developer's <br /> request. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve Change Order No. 3, <br /> Improvements No. SS-W-P-ST-84-1 and 84-3, Royal Hills North/McClung Third <br /> Addition, revising contract completion date to June 15, 1987, Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (4-0) <br /> Councilmember Hansen arrived at 8:20 p.m. <br /> Resolution No. 86-59, Approving Transfer of Ownership of Group W. Cable of the <br /> North Suburbs, Inc. <br /> Bill Bauer, Chairman of the Cable Communications Committee, appeared before the <br /> Council to explain the request for transfer of ownership of Group W Cable. <br /> Bauer referred Council to memo (10-9-86) from Legal Counsel and summarized by <br /> advising the City cannot legally withhold approval, therefore the Cable <br /> Commission reluctantly recommended approval of the Resolution.. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve Resolution No. 86-59, <br /> Approving Transfer of Ownership of Group W Cable of the North Suburbs, Inc. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> Report on Public Safety/Works Committee Meeting, October 16 <br /> Member Hansen reported on October 16 Public Safety/Works Committee meeting. <br /> McGuire's Inn Request re Tent on St. Patrick's Day <br /> Hal Pollock, Assistant General Manager of McGuires, explained the request for <br /> the one day special event. He advised Council arrangements had been made with <br /> Hoigaards for overflow parking, extra security personnel would be circulating <br /> thru the tent and parking valets would direct patrons to available parking to <br /> help maintain traffic flow. <br /> Council concerns included liquor consumed in the tent, use of heaters in the <br /> tent, capacity crowd control. <br /> Pollock advised there would be security people to control crowd in tent, to <br /> keep liquor in the main building only, and that the tent is fireproofed. <br /> Mayor suggested having Fire Chief inspect the tent prior to event. <br /> Sather asked Pollock to contact the company which rents the tents and then <br /> advise the Fire Chief of a similar event where this type of tent would be used <br /> so he could inspect it sometime prior to St. Patrick's Day <br /> . Mayor asked if any fees were required for this type of permit. <br /> McNiesh advised a special permit for extended space may be necessary and staff <br /> would research the requirements. <br /> Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve the request from McGuires <br /> to use a 60' x 80' tent, on March 17, 1987, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and <br /> 1:00 a.m., increasing the square footage for on-sale liquor, provided a report <br /> from the Fire Chief of the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department is received <br /> by Council stating the tent has met safety standards. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (5-0) <br /> Appointment to Public Safety/Works Committee <br /> Mayor Woodburn recommended the appointment of David McClung as an associate <br /> voting member of the Public Safety/Works Committee. <br /> Sather moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve the recommendation to <br /> appoint David McClung an associate voting member of the Public Safety/Works <br /> Committee. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br />
