Roll Call <br /> Members Present: Aaron Frederickson, Mark Kelliher, Ray McGraw and Clayton <br /> Zimmerman <br /> Also Present: Terry Post, Dwayne Stafford and Beverly Aplikowski <br /> Absent: Chuck Mertensotto, Terry Nygaard and Charles Stoddard <br /> 3. The Minutes were approved <br /> 4. Old Business <br /> a. Sewer and Water Rates <br /> 1) Terry Post explained the background on water and sewer rates to the <br /> committee members. He explained that the last time this issue was discussed <br /> in committee was 1992. <br /> • a) The cities current contract with Roseville as a water vendor will be <br /> up for renewal on December 31, 2002 <br /> h) Over the years, Roseville has been pricing their water for Arden I(ills <br /> at their current rate of purchase <br /> c) TCAAP currently generate water for their own purposes and sells <br /> some to Fridley and New Brighton. However, there are some <br /> questions about the quality of the TCAAP water because those cities <br /> do have to provide additional treatment for human consumption <br /> d) New Brighton, Mound View and Shoreview only have enough water <br /> for their won resident and would not he able to provide water to <br /> Arden Hills <br /> e) Rate Increase generally equal to cost increase. However, <br /> maintenance on the infrastructure is always reflected in the increases <br /> as well. <br /> 2) Potential Vendors in the future were identified <br /> a) Saint Paul—(however, the water would have to be piped from St. <br /> Paul to Arden Hills, bypassing Roseville) <br /> b) TCAAP <br /> c) 'TCAAP plus a new after treatment facility <br /> d) Joint powers with Arden Ilills and another city like Roseville <br /> 3) Senior Discount <br /> a) Terry Post <br /> • <br /> Z0 'd 8S88 682_ ZI 1I3NnO0 '�1IWHd "NW Wd Itr: ZO 00-S0-Nor <br />
