Sewer and Water Rates <br /> 1) There was considerable discussion on the current <br /> sewer and water rates; especially on the "fairness" <br /> of the current senior discount. <br /> 2) Chairman Kelliher proposed a "non-binding straw <br /> poll" stating that the committee was philosophically <br /> opposed to the discount and the sewer usage rate <br /> should evenly apply to everyone, The non-binding <br /> straw poll passed by a 6-0 margin. <br /> ly.. Said that the public works department discovered a hole in <br /> a water pipeline near Arden Manor Trailer Park that was <br /> responsible for the recent trouble of keeping the north <br /> • water tower full. Upon discovery, the pipe was promptly <br /> repaired, <br /> 2. Beverly Aplikowski—City Council Update <br /> a. The council recently recognized three Public Works <br /> Department employees for various years of service <br /> b. The TCAAP transfer conveyance is still in progress <br /> c. MN DOT recently presented the council with new <br /> proposals for the Hwy./10 Hwy. 96 interchange <br /> d. The Events Committees is starting <br /> e. Capital Improvements Plan <br /> f, "Truth In Taxation" meeting will be December 6`h <br /> g.
