<br />4 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, September' '8, 1986 <br />Village Hall <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmembers Dale Hicks, Nancy Hansen, <br />Gary Peck. Thomas Sather. <br />None <br />Engineer Barry Peters, Public Works Supervisor Robert Raddatz, <br />Treasurer Donald Lamb, Parks Director John Buckley, Planner <br />Orlyn Miller, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, Deputy <br />Clerk Dorothy Zehm and Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that the minutes of the August 23 Joint Meeting <br />with Shoreview and the August 25 Council Meeting be approved as submitted. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Business from the Floor <br />Mayor Woodburn announced the retirement of Deputy Clerk/Zoning Administrator <br />Dorothy Zehm, September 15, 1986. after more than two decades of loyal and <br />meritorious service to the citizens of Arden Hills. He presented Dorothy a <br />corsage and read Resolution No. 86-50, which commended her for her years of <br />service, and extended Dorothy and her family wishes for prosperity, good health <br />and happiness. <br /> <br />1986 Yard Beautification Contest Winners <br />Parks Director Buckley announced the winners of the 1986 Yard Beautification <br />Contest. He stated this was the second annual contest to encourage citizens to <br />beautify the city and the response had doubled from the first year. John <br />advised that Public Works Supervisor Raddatz and Yard Beautification Committee <br />Chairman Don Messerly had videotaped the contest winners yards for Council <br />review. Don Messerly narrated the tape. <br /> <br />After viewing the tape, John introduced the winners who were present, passed <br />out the certificates of recognition and announced this was the first time a <br />commercial property had entered the contest. The list of winners is as follows: <br />Eric Nesset, Director of Property Management for Woodbridge Properties <br />and Vartkes Ehramjiam. Chief Financial Officer for H.B. Fuller Co., for <br />the Northpark Corporate Center <br />Robert Eibensteiner, 1246 Nursery Hill Lane <br />Cheryl Shultz, 4390 Arden View Court <br />Kent and Susie Benscoter, 1284 Nursery Hills Lane <br />Roy and Frieda McGraw, 1427 Bussard Court <br />Meryl and Frank McKinney 4393 Arden View Court <br />Don and LaVonne Sahnow, 4428 Arden View Court <br />Wes and Betty Sandvig, 4479 Arden View Court, <br />Syl and Laverne Schmitt, 1353 Arden View Drive <br />Dr. & Mrs. Selmer Engene, 1455 Skiles Lane <br />Tom Mulcahy, 3530 Siems Court <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER BARRY PETERS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NSP Lump Sum Relocation ARreement - Power Pole. Hamline Avenue and Floral Drive <br />Barry Peters explained that NSP did not have to perform the temporary anchor <br />adjustment on the power pole. and therefore the cost would be reduced $1,000. <br />He advised the remaining amount due NSP ($2.200) would cover the permanent <br />anchor installation and bandaging the pole. <br /> <br />Sather questioned the payment of $800 last year to NSP for this project. <br /> <br />Peters advised that the previous payment was for the preliminary engineering <br />agreement, not for the actual relocation. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve the payment of $2,200 to <br />
