Public Hearing was closed at 9:10 p.m. Hansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council adopt Resolution No. 86-44, ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS FOR ROSEVILLE WATER CONNECTIONS. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Approval to Attend MRPA Fall Conference, Parks Director John Buckley Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the request of Parks Director Buckley to attend the MRPA Fall Conference on September 24, 25 and 26, 1986, in Duluth. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) REPORT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR ROBERT RADDATZ Completion of Probationary Period - Joseph Mooney Raddatz referred to his memo of 9-5-86, stating Joe has been employed by the City since April 1 and has been a reliable employee, very mechanically inclined and works with minimal instruction. Raddatz requests Mooney become a permanent employee of the City at 80% base pay rate (per Contract), effective October I, 1986. Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve the appointment of Joseph Mooney to permanent employee status at 80% of base rate pay, effective October 1, 1986. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Replacement of Gara~e Doors - Public Works Buildin~ Council was referred to Raddatz's memo (9-5-86), which explained the replacement of two garage doors could be accomplished at a cost close to repairing. Raddatz added that these doors would be steel, fully insulated and would be energy saving. In talking with the manufacturer, he suggested 7% be added to the price 'quote from last March, bringing the cost of the doors to I $2,900, rather than $2,736. Raddatz advised that $4,000 was budgeted for the project, with two doors replaced this year and two doors replaced in 1987. Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council authorize the purchase of two garage doors, to include installation, from Automatic Garage Door Company, as requested. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Purchase of Air Jack Council was referred to Raddatz's memo (9-5-86) which explained the dependability and safety factors of the air operated jack. He advised it would be purchased from NAPA at a cost of $831, and that $1,000 had been budgeted in 1986 for this item. Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the purchase of an air jack for Public Works Department, as requested. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0)
