Motion <br />carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Approval to Attend MRPA Fall Conference, Parks Director John Buckley <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the request of Parks <br />Director Buckley to attend the MRPA Fall Conference on September 24, 25 and 26, <br />1986, in Duluth. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR ROBERT RADDATZ <br /> <br />Completion of Probationary Period - Joseph Mooney <br />Raddatz referred to his memo of 9-5-86, stating Joe has been employed by the <br />City since April 1 and has been a reliable employee, very mechanically inclined <br />and works with minimal instruction. Raddatz requests Mooney become a permanent <br />employee of the City at 80% base pay rate (per Contract), effective October I, <br />1986. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve the appointment of Joseph <br />Mooney to permanent employee status at 80% of base rate pay, effective October <br />1, 1986. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Replacement of Gara~e Doors - Public Works Buildin~ <br />Council was referred to Raddatz's memo (9-5-86), which explained the <br />replacement of two garage doors could be accomplished at a cost close to <br />repairing. Raddatz added that these doors would be steel, fully insulated and <br />would be energy saving. In talking with the manufacturer, he suggested 7% be <br />added to the price 'quote from last March, bringing the cost of the doors to I <br />$2,900, rather than $2,736. Raddatz advised that $4,000 was budgeted for the <br />project, with two doors replaced this year and two doors replaced in 1987. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council authorize the purchase of two <br />garage doors, to include installation, from Automatic Garage Door Company, as <br />requested. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Purchase of Air Jack <br />Council was referred to Raddatz's memo (9-5-86) which explained the <br />dependability and safety factors of the air operated jack. He advised it would <br />be purchased from NAPA at a cost of $831, and that $1,000 had been budgeted in <br />1986 for this item. <br /> <br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the purchase of an air <br />jack for Public Works Department, as requested. Motion carried unanimously. <br />(5-0) <br />
