Total estimate is $365.00.

Mr. Carlsen explained that the original bid from the water/sewer service was
$1,700; listed additional costs incurred of $2,400; total cost for the
sewer/water installation is $4,100.

Christoffersen explained that his cost estimate assumes that the sewer and
water lines are put in at the same time in the same trench; therefore, the
trench, gravel compaction and road patch were needed whether or not the sewer
stub was in place; noted if these were separate connections, the cost would be
more.

After discussion, Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council reimburse
Carlsen $535.00 for the actual cost of 4 hours of labor ($340.00) plus
additional expenses in the amount of $245.00, less the 1970 cost of the sewer
stub ($50.00); the $535.00 to be paid 1/2 by the City Engineer (SEH) and 1/2 by
the City. Motion carried unanimously. (3-0)

Carlsen said he feels this is a reasonable and acceptable settlement.

Resolution No. 86-36, Bid Award for Combined Impr. Nos.
