Raddatz said roadway is already compacted, but the base will be
wider.

McNiesh said the Resolution authorizing Advertisement for Bids is tentatively
on the May 12 Council agenda with bid opening on June 12,

McNiesh reported that the State has awarded the bid for the south portion of
the project (south of Floral Drive).

OTHER BUSINESS

Lake Johanna Boulevard Stripin~
Hansen asked the procedure to have Lake Johanna Boulevard striped for
walkway/bikeway from Stowe Avenue to County Road D; suggested that the County
be requested to continue the striping in this area in the same way it is
striped around the north portion of Lake Johanna; reported the road is used by
joggers and bikers; feels it is dangerous because street is wide and some
drivers consider it as two traffic lanes in each direction; feels the striping
would alert drivers to the space allotted to bikers and pedestrians.

Garba~e Pickup
Woodburn explained that school buses and garbage trucks are exempt from the
road posting weight maximums; reported their excessive weight has caused roads
to break up in several places.

Woodhurn suggested an alternative might be to request bids for garbage hauling,
possibly on a City-wide basis, or for certain zones within the City, reducing
the number of garbage trucks in a given area; also could possibly result in a
decrease in costs to residents.

Labor Ne~otiation Meetin~
Sather reported that a labor negotiation meeting is scheduled at 7:00 a,m. on
Wednesday, April 16,

Opus Park Dedication
Sather reported that park dedication negotiations are continuing; anticipates
resolution thereof within 60 days.

Case No, 86-10 (about 9:10 p.m,)
Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, to bring the motion back at this time.
Motion carried unanimously, (4-0)

Hansen said she is uncomfortable about the proposed amendment to the motion
which adds the condition that the entire park dedication be paid at occupancy
of Building C; feels Council should obtain Attorney Lynden's opinion. Sather
offered to discuss the matter with Woodbridge; feels Council should pursue a
more forthright approach than the initial settlement,

Sather moved to table the motion to the next Council meeting. Motion was
seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously.
