<br />,> <br />, <br />~ <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting, August 12, 1985 <br />Page five <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE TREASURER DONALD LAMB <br /> <br />Investment <br />8/12/85 - $525.000 at Twin City Federal at 7.71% for two months, maturing <br />10/11/85. <br /> <br />Sather moved, seconded by Hansen, to ratify the Treasurer's investment. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Recommendation - Public Works Department Full-Time Employee <br />Council was referred to memo from Public Works Supervisor Robert Raddatz <br />(8/9/85), recommending Charles Pagel as a full-time Public Works Department <br />employee. Raddatz briefly described Pagel's qualifications; reported <br />that 117 applications were received for the position; reported he reviewed <br />all 117 applications and subsequently interviewed eleven applicants. Raddatz <br />said. in his estimation. Pagel is the best candidate for the position. <br /> <br />Sather moved, seconded by Hicks. that Council autborize the employment of <br />Charles Pagel as a full-time Public Works Department employee at <br />$9.00 per hour, effective September 3. 1985. Motion carried unanimously. <br />(5-0) <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Meeting <br />Hansen reported she will be out of town. (Hicks. Woodburn, Peck and Sather <br />also unable to attend on the 19th). <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH <br /> <br />Resolutions Nos. 85-31. 32 and 33 - Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Orderina <br />Preparation of Proposed Assessment Rolls, Royal Hills North. Lametti and <br />McClung Third Addition <br />McNiesh reported the following costs to be assessed: <br />Royal Hills North..........$396.516.68 <br />Lametti.................. ..$157.139.92 <br />McClung Third..............$ 72.167.40 <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council adopt Resolutions Nos. 85-31, <br />85-32 and 85-33, DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF <br />PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLLS, ROYAL HILLS NORTH, LAMETTI AND MCCLUNG THIRD <br />ADDITIONS. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Resolution No. 85-34, Approving Proposed Assessment Rolls and Providina for <br />Public Hearina on September 9th. Royal Hills North. Lametti. and McCluna <br />Third Addition <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Sather, that Council adopt Resolution No. 85-34, <br />APPROVING PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />SEPTEMBER 9, ROYAL HILLS NORTH. LAMETTI AND MCCLUNG THIRD ADDITION. Motion <br />carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />(Hearings are scheduled at 7:30 p.m.) <br /> <br />Approval of Payina ARent ARreement for Improvement Bonds of '85 <br />Council was referred to letter from First Trust St. Paul (8/1/85) and attached <br />Agreement Relating to Paying Agency. Registrar and Transfer Agency. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve First Trust St. Paul as <br />paying agent and authorize execution of the agreement by the Mayor and Clerk- <br />Administrator. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Apportionment Resolutions No. 85-35 (Water 72-1) 85-36 (W-P-SS-76-1), 85-37 <br />(77-5/85-2) - Hamline Partners/Grudnoske <br />Peck moved, seconded by Sather, that Council adopt Apportionment Resolutions <br />Nos. 85-35, 85-36 and 85-37. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br />
