Connors, IUOE, requesting to re-open the present Labor Agreement between Arden Hills and the IUOE, Local No. 49. Woodburn appointed Sather (Public Works Committee Liaison) to negotiate the 1986 contract and re-write the present contract relative to the City Attorney's interpretation of law re compensatory time-off in lieu of over- time pay for Arden Hills Public Works employees. OTHER BUSINESS Third Fire Station Hansen reported that LJVFD has agreed to sell the property it purchased for the third station to Shoreview; reported that Shoreview and the fire- fighters are discussing the various issues relative to managing the station. . Lake Johanna Surface Water Violations Hansen reported that Ramsey County has agreed to install new signs at the boat launch area advising lake users of the surface water regulations; signs are to be more explicit than the current signso AURust 7th PlanninR Commission MeetinR Hicks to be absent. (4-0) Council concurred with McNiesh and Lamb that a 7,% interest rate on invest- ments be used for 1986 budgeting purposeso (McNiesh to obtain background information on how CPIU and CPIW percentages were figured 0 ) Claims and Payroll Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the Claims and Payroll as presented. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) ResiRnation from Human RiRhts Commission McNiesh reported receipt of a letter from Dorothy Elion, member of the Human Rights Commission, tendering her resignation because she is moving out of . the Villageo Council accepted her resignation and expressed appreciation for her services on the Human Rights Commission. PendinR Assessments HearinRs McNiesh reported that she is tentatively scheduling the assessment hearings for Lametti Addition, Royal Hills North and McClung Third Addition on August 26; reported that the road comdemnation litigation has not been heard by District Court to date; consequently, a "supplementary hearing" may be needed at a later date for Royal Hills North.
