(4-0) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Thom Drive DrainaRe - Status Report <br />Public Works Supervisor Raddatz reported the materials have been ordered; <br />plan to start later this weeko <br /> <br />SealcoatinR Project <br />Raddatz reported that more patching material was used this year than last <br />year, especially in the Karth Lake area and Snelling Ave 0 (south of STH 96); <br />reported sealcoating is scheduled to start this week in the northeast <br />portion of the Village (Karth Lake, Briarknol1 area)o <br /> <br />Report on Ad Hoc Committee MeetinK re Lake Josephine ReKUlations <br />Hicks reported that the Ad Hoc Committee (comprised of two Council members <br />and two residents of Roseville and Arden Hills) met to discuss the pro- <br />posed boat ramp and lake treatment; reported that the general consensus <br />of the committee is: <br />1. Boat ramp is located in Roseville; therefore will go in regardless of <br />Arden Hills' opposition. <br />2. Opposes chemical treatment of the lake and subsequent re-stocking; <br />no evidence calcium nitrite is effective. <br />3. Feels surface water zoning is probably premature because: <br />ao There is no history of specific conditions it wishes to control. <br />bo Enforcement of regulations is a concern; feels policing is not <br />adequate to enforce ordinance regulations. <br /> <br />Report on Ramsey County Public Works/Parks and Recreation Committee MeetinK <br />re Lake Josephine Boat Access <br />Hansen reported the meeting was at 9:00 aom. today; reported the general <br />consensus was the boat ramp and parking lot-will go in; rationale is they are <br />located in Roseville and have been approved by Roseville; $129,000 cost will <br />be shared by DNR and Ramsey County Parks and Recreation; Ramsey County will <br />be the enforcero Hansen reported the "fish kill" will not be done without a <br />public hearing; it was explained the chemical treatment is necessary to kill <br />the bottom feeding fish and for better water clarity and can be done with <br />"free money"o Hansen reported that this will be on the Ramsey County Com- <br />missioners' agenda on August 5th (10:00 a.m.)o . <br /> <br />Status Report on Code Violations at 3375 Lake Johanna Boulevard <br />Council was referred to memo from Code Enforcement Officer Squires (7/22/85) <br />reporting that a citation has been issued relative to the several code <br />violations at 3375 Lake Johanna Boulevard; support information has been <br />forwarded to City Prosecuting Attorneyo <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In discussion, it was reported that no attempt has been made to correct any <br />of the infractions. It was questioned whether the auxiliary building is <br />properly sited. McNiesh reported that the City does not survey; can require <br />a survey from the property owner. It was further reported that the grease <br />pit complaint is being investigated, as well as whether a grease pit is <br />permitted in a residential garage. <br />
