<br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Minutes of Council Work/Study Meeting, April 22 <br />Page two <br /> <br />Hendrickson said it is difficult to determine when to add additional water <br />storage; noted that there are things a city can do to control water usage; <br />- sprinkling bans <br />- odd/even sprinkling days <br />Hendrickson said it wuld take one to one and one-half years to put a storage <br />tank in service after bid is awarded; said it would take about six weeks to <br />prepare specifications for advertisement for bids. <br /> <br />Based on anticipated 11,000 connected population, and anticipated water con- <br />sumption, excluding the Arsenal, Hendrickson recommended that Arden Hills build <br />a I M gallon tank; noted that the population figure was based on 1980 <br />demographic data comiled by the Metropolitan Council at 2.95 persons/ <br />household; noted that he understands the trend is now fewer than 2.95 persons/ <br />household. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council took the matter under advisement. <br /> <br />Ad;ollrnment <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that <br />Motion carried unanimously.
