Pedestrian Walkway Mulcahy reported that he received a call from a Briarknoll resident relative to the 20' wide pathway from Briarknoll to Norma Avenue; reports they have concerns re this trail and will be re- questing that changes be made, after polling affected property owners. October Council Meeting Schedule . It was noted that the 2nd Monday in October (October 8) is Columbus Day; therefore a change in date of meeting is necessary. Council concurred that October Council meetings be held on October 15th and 29th. (Rauenhorst to be absent October 18th to 30th.) September Parks Committee Meeting Hansen will attend in place of Mulcahy as liaison. REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH Claims Rauenhorst moved to approve the Claims as presented. Hansen seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Sidewalk (Tent) Sale - Hoigaard's McNiesh referred Council to Application for Sidewalk (Tent) Sale at Hoigaard's. Hicks moved approval of the 4-day tent sale, and the Special Event (banner) Sign, as requested. Motion was seconded by Hansen and carried unanimously. (5-0) Election Day Liquor Sales McNiesh reported that State law now permits the sale of liquor on the day of any state-wide election, but unless municipalities have amended their ordinances accordingly, municipalities may re- strict the sales on days of State-wide elections. McNiesh reported that Arden Hills has not amended its ordinance; conse- quently, liquor establishments have been advised that liquor may not be sold on September 11th (Primary Election). After discussion, Rauenhorst moved to amend the sections of the Arden Hills Code and to specifically allow the sale of liquor on the day of the Primary Election, September 11, 1984. Motion was seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously. (5-0) (Liquor establishments to be notified they may sell liquor on Tuesday, September 11, 1984.)
