<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Monday, September 10, 1984 <br />Page Six <br /> <br />..' .--.-.., <br /> <br />Hansen said this will be an item for discussion at their annual <br />lake meeting in the spring; suggested it may also be of conce~n <br />to Ramsey County and DNR. <br /> <br />Pedestrian Walkway <br />Mulcahy reported that he received a call from a Briarknoll <br />resident relative to the 20' wide pathway from Briarknoll to Norma <br />Avenue; reports they have concerns re this trail and will be re- <br />questing that changes be made, after polling affected property <br />owners. <br /> <br />October Council Meeting Schedule . <br />It was noted that the 2nd Monday in October (October 8) is <br />Columbus Day; therefore a change in date of meeting is necessary. <br /> <br />Council concurred that October Council meetings be held on <br />October 15th and 29th. (Rauenhorst to be absent October 18th to <br />30th.) <br /> <br />September Parks Committee Meeting <br />Hansen will attend in place of Mulcahy as liaison. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH <br /> <br />Claims <br />Rauenhorst moved to approve the Claims as presented. Hansen <br />seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Sidewalk (Tent) Sale - Hoigaard's <br />McNiesh referred Council to Application for Sidewalk (Tent) Sale <br />at Hoigaard's. <br /> <br />Hicks moved approval of the 4-day tent sale, and the Special Event <br />(banner) Sign, as requested. Motion was seconded by Hansen and <br />carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Election Day Liquor Sales <br />McNiesh reported that State law now permits the sale of liquor on <br />the day of any state-wide election, but unless municipalities <br />have amended their ordinances accordingly, municipalities may re- <br />strict the sales on days of State-wide elections. McNiesh <br />reported that Arden Hills has not amended its ordinance; conse- <br />quently, liquor establishments have been advised that liquor may <br />not be sold on September 11th (Primary Election). <br /> <br />After discussion, Rauenhorst moved to amend the sections of the <br />Arden Hills Code and to specifically allow the sale of liquor on <br />the day of the Primary Election, September 11, 1984. Motion was <br />seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />(Liquor establishments to be notified they may sell liquor on <br />Tuesday, September 11, 1984.) <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Hansen, that the meeting adjourn at <br />10:25 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
