Miller explained that this represents a violation <br />of the Presbyterian Homes Special Use Permit, which is an enforce- <br />ment issue; noted that cars and other vehicles are parked in rear <br />(lakeside) of the building in an area designated as a "fire zone" - <br />also other storage in this area; reported no progress has been <br />made; understands that Presbyterian Homes (now Johanna Shores) is <br />undergoing a re-structuring of the organization; reported that a <br />group of people will be contacting the City re these violations. <br /> <br />Council concurred that Miller be authorized to advise Administrator <br />Hagstrom of the apparent S.U.P. violations, and to request com- <br />pliance with the Special Use Permit provisions or re-negotiation <br />of the Special Use Permit. <br /> <br />It was also noted that some parking at Sutton Place appears to be <br />in violation of City Code. <br /> <br />(Miller was requested to submit written report to Council for next <br />Council meeting.) <br /> <br />~esolution No. 84-28, Asproving Appraisal Value of City's Taking <br />of Permanent Roadway an Utility Easement and Temporary Slope <br />Easement from George J. Reilin~ <br />Council was referred to Lynden s letter of 8/31/84 re City of Arden <br />Hills vs. George J. Reiling and enclosed appraisal report estimating <br />the value of damages to be sustained by Reiling at $11,000.00 <br /> <br />Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council adopt Resolution <br />No. 84-28, RESOLUTION APPROVING APPRAISAL VALUE OF CITY'S TAKING OF <br />PERMANENT ROADWAY AND UTILITY EASEMENT AND TEMPORARY SLOPE EASEMENT <br />FROM GEORGE J. REILING. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Report on Human Rights Committee Meeting <br /> <br />North Suburban Youth Service Bureau <br />Statistics on Youth Service Bureau were distributed to <br />Council. Rauenhorst reported that she-received a call from <br />Don Seversen, Mounds View area Citizen for ".S.Y.S.B.; <br />requesting to be heard at Council meeting when N.S.I.S.B. <br />is on the agenda. <br /> <br />Mulcahy reported that he told Chris Clausen (N.S.Y.S.B.) <br />not to come to tonight's meeting; advised that no action <br />would be taken tonight. N.S.Y.S.B. to be on September 24th <br />Agenda. McNiesh to notify N.S.Y.S.B. of approximate time <br />on agenda. <br /> <br />Accessibilitl of Voting Places <br />It was repor ed that two polling places are not accessible to <br />the handicapped: <br /> <br />- Arden Manor Community Building <br />- I.O.O.F. Lodge <br /> <br />It was noted by McNiesh that a new facility will be needed <br />for Precinct II (I.O.O.F. Lodge); reported that Precinct <br />#5 at Arden Manor can probably be combined with Precinct '4 <br />at the Village Hall. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Lake Johanna Geese - Response to Survey <br />Hansen reported that she sent out 101 post cards asking if geese <br />should be removed, are you willing to help pay for their removal, <br />advising of estimated removal cost of $3000/year for 3-5 years. <br /> <br />Hansen reported 67 cards were returned; 53 do not want geese <br />removed, 12 were in favor of their removal, 7 of 12 said <br />they would be willing to help finance it. <br />
