Minutes of Regular Council Meeting Monday, July 30, 1984 Page Eight Rauenhorst expressed her pleasure in working with Councilmember Christiansen; appreciated his calm and rational approach to problems. Woodburn and Mulcahy concurred with her comments, and said he'd be sorely missed. REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH Karth lake Pumping Costs Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 7-18-84, itemizing the costs incurred for the Karth lake Pumping, totalling $4,321.06, including Public Works Department labor. Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that no costs be billed to the homeowners since out-of-pocket expense came to less than the $4,000 previously authorized. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) August Council Meeting Schedule Rauenhorstmoved, seconded by Christiansen, that the August 13th Regular Council meeting be cancelled, since a quorum will not be present, and that August Council meetings be scheduled on August 20th (Special meeting) and August 27th (Regular meeting). Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) i985 Budget Guidelines Salary Multiplier Council concurred with a 4% salary multiplier for the preliminary budget. Interest Rates on Investments Council concurred with 11% Business licenses Council concurred to use the simplified licensing proposal outlined in Mulcahy's memo (7-26-84) for the preliminary budget. Youth Service Bureau McNiesh noted that the Youth Service Bureau is included in the proposed 1985 Human Rights Commission budget submitted by its Chairman. Mulcahy reported that the Commission queried why this item was part of its budget. Council concurred that the Committee should make their recommendations for Council consideration. McNiesh noted that Mr. Clausen will be at the September Human Rights Commission meeting. Rauenhorst suggested that it could be left out of the budget at this time pending recommendations; feels it's a good program. Pro-rating Woodbridge Properties Park Dedication Council was referred to McNiesh's memo (7-26-84). Council concurred that the Park Dedication be pro-rated as outlined in McNiesh's memo: Total site cash dedication - $33,000, Phase I is about ~ total site area - $16,500 payable over 10 years @ $1,650/ year commencing on date of occupancy. Payroll and Claims Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve the Payroll and Claims. Motion carried unanimously.
