<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Monday, July 30, 1984 <br />Page Eight <br /> <br />Rauenhorst expressed her pleasure in working with Councilmember <br />Christiansen; appreciated his calm and rational approach to <br />problems. Woodburn and Mulcahy concurred with her comments, and <br />said he'd be sorely missed. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE McNIESH <br /> <br />Karth lake Pumping Costs <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 7-18-84, itemizing the <br />costs incurred for the Karth lake Pumping, totalling $4,321.06, <br />including Public Works Department labor. <br /> <br />Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that no costs be billed <br />to the homeowners since out-of-pocket expense came to less than <br />the $4,000 previously authorized. Motion carried unanimously. <br />(4-0) <br /> <br />August Council Meeting Schedule <br />Rauenhorstmoved, seconded by Christiansen, that the August 13th <br />Regular Council meeting be cancelled, since a quorum will not be <br />present, and that August Council meetings be scheduled on August <br />20th (Special meeting) and August 27th (Regular meeting). Motion <br />carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />i985 Budget Guidelines <br /> <br />Salary Multiplier <br />Council concurred with a 4% salary multiplier for the <br />preliminary budget. <br /> <br />Interest Rates on Investments <br />Council concurred with 11% <br /> <br />Business licenses <br />Council concurred to use the simplified licensing proposal <br />outlined in Mulcahy's memo (7-26-84) for the preliminary <br />budget. <br /> <br />Youth Service Bureau <br />McNiesh noted that the Youth Service Bureau is included in the <br />proposed 1985 Human Rights Commission budget submitted by its <br />Chairman. Mulcahy reported that the Commission queried why <br />this item was part of its budget. <br /> <br />Council concurred that the Committee should make their <br />recommendations for Council consideration. McNiesh noted <br />that Mr. Clausen will be at the September Human Rights <br />Commission meeting. Rauenhorst suggested that it could be <br />left out of the budget at this time pending recommendations; <br />feels it's a good program. <br /> <br />Pro-rating Woodbridge Properties Park Dedication <br />Council was referred to McNiesh's memo (7-26-84). <br /> <br />Council concurred that the Park Dedication be pro-rated as <br />outlined in McNiesh's memo: <br /> <br />Total site cash dedication - $33,000, Phase I is about <br />~ total site area - $16,500 payable over 10 years @ $1,650/ <br />year commencing on date of occupancy. <br /> <br />Payroll and Claims <br />Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve <br />the Payroll and Claims. Motion carried unanimously.
