Motion carried (Rauenhorst, Mulcahy, Christiansen voting in favor of the motion; Hicks and Woodburn voting in opposition.) (3-2) OTHER BUSINESS . Karth Lake Pumping Project Woodburn reported that the authorized $4000 expenditure for the pumping of Karth Lake was exceeded; noted that about 300 feet of hose was added and the hose sustained damage; noted that Johansen is preparing a cost summary for Council. Hicks noted that it was his understanding that the home owners around Karth Lake would pay costs in excess of $4000. REPORT OF VILLAGE CLERK ADMINISTRATOR CHARLOTTE MCNIESH Vendin Mechanical Music Amusement Device McNiesh reported that Theisen Ven ing for the following at Blue Fox, Inc.: Fox Inc. icenses 1 Mechanical musical device 1 Mechanical amusement device 1 Cigarette vending machine 20.00 40.00 15.00 . Christiansen moved, seconded by Rauenhorst, that Council approve the licenses for Blue Fox, Inc. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Temporary Gambling License Application Council was referred to Application for a Temporary Gambling License by Minnesota Manufactured Housing Association, at McGuires, 1201 West County Road E, on December 7, 1984. McNiesh reported that background investigations were made by Ramsey County Sheriff Department; recommendations are favorable. Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve the Temporary Gambling License for Minnesota Manufactured Housing Associates. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Claims and Payroll Hicks moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council approve the Claims and Payroll as presented. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Employment of Recording Secretary Council was referred to McNiesh's memo of 7-9-84, recommending the employment of Donna Tramm,3248 New Brighton Road, as Recording Secretary. Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Council authorize the employment of Donna Tramm as Recording Secretary at $5.25/hour (2 hour minimum/meeting). Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Parking Problem - County Road D at Josephine Beach McNiesh reported that Mrs. Tony Hoivik, Shoreline Lane, called to report a parking problem on County Road D, which was especially bad on July 4th; suggested that temporary "No Parking" signs be installed along one side of the street, so cars can get through. Council concurred that the signs be installed on the south side of County Road D, between Lexington and Shoreline Lane, d'uring the months of July and August.
