Minutes of Regular Council Meeting
Tuesday, May 29, 1984 - 7:30 p.m.
Page Six

Canadian Geese Problem
McNlesh reported a complaint from a resident on Edgewater Avenue, south of
Lake Johanna, asking about what can be done to get rid of the numerous geese -
resident counted 120 In her yard at one time; has the problem 3 to 4 hours
every day; yard Is consequently unusable.

McNlesh reported that she called the conservation office and Carlos Avery
Game Farm; apparently, the only way to get rid of them Is to catch them and
ship them out of the area (Council would have to order this); goose population
has Increased dramatically In the last few years. Hicks suggested that a
game specialist might be Interested In looking Into how many geese we really
need, and possibly eliminating the excess.

.

McNlesh reported that apparently they must be caught In early July, If they
are to be caught. No action was taken.

Adlournment
Rauenhorst moved, seconded by Mulcahy that the meeting adjourn at 10:43 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously.
