I be limited to $8,000 or less". Woodburn and Mulcahy concurred <br />that It would seem more appropriate to determine the equipment <br />needed, and request cost for same. It was noted that creativity Is <br />what Is being sold; new things are emerging all the time. <br />Rauenhorst and Christiansen concurred that this Is a competitive ~ <br />way to purchase equipment In their experience (Valentine Hills <br />School and Townhouse Village). Motion carried (Rauenhorst, <br />Christiansen, Mulcahy voting In favor of the motion; Woodburn <br />voting In opposition). I <br />conduct and monitor the tests, handle the follow ups. etc., Council <br />tabled the matter pending additional Information. <br /> <br />2.2L1.n.lLLuDJ2L.l~ .l!.~j.ll_n-9_ B a.2Js.ej b a I I <br />Council was referred to Buckley's memo (2-24-84) recommending <br />the hiring of four Bethel College students to Instruct and <br />officiate the 1984 Youth Basketball Program. <br /> <br />Christiansen moved, seconded by Rauenhorst, that Councl I approve <br />the hIring of the four people listed In memo (2-24-84), and <br />additional short-term substitutes at an hourly wage not to exceed <br />$4.25/hour. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR BUD JOHANSEN <br /> <br />Council was referred to Johansen's memo of 2-23-84, and attach- <br />ments thereto: <br /> <br />1984 Street Sweeping Contract - 198~ <br />Johansen reported that the Public Works Committee recommends <br />approval of the New Brighton Street Sweeping Contract for <br />1984; noted that It Is within the budget. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mulcahy moved, seconded by Christiansen, that Councl I approve <br />the 1984 Street Sweeping Agreement with the City of New <br />Brighton, at the Increased cost of $35/hour, and authorized <br />execution thereof by the Mayor and Clerk Administrator. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />P u [.c.~i'_s5l_ .2L.t,lL.Gom!lE~~2!:. <br />Johansen reported that the Public Works Committee recommends <br />the purchase of the Sui lair Model 125CFM; feels the 125CFM <br />model Is worth the additional $350.00. <br /> <br />After review of the three quotes received, Christiansen <br />moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Council approve the purchase <br />of the Sui lair 125CFM Air Compressor from Hayden - Murphy <br />Company at $7,842.00. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br />
