MINUTES <br />I CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> WORKSESSION <br />I DECEMBER 21, 1995 <br /> 4:30 P.M. - CITY HALL, PUBLIC WORKS LUNCHROOM <br />I CALL TO ORDERlROLL CALL <br />I Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Acting Mayor, Paul Malone called to order the City <br /> Council Worksession at 4:32 P.M. Present: Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski; Dale Hicks; <br />I Paul Malone. Also present were: City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; City Accountant, Terry <br /> Post; Public Works Superintendent, Dwayne Stafford; Parks and Recreation Director, Cindy <br /> Walsh; and Community Development Director, Kevin Ringwald. <br />I Mayor Dennis Probst and Councilmember Susan Keirn arrived approximately twenty minutes <br /> after the meeting was called to order. <br />I ADOPT AGENDA <br />Ie Motion: Councilmember Hicks moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded to adopt <br /> the agenda subject items as presented but to revise the presentation order. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. (3-0). <br />I MISCELLANEOUS AGENDA ITEMS <br /> Item 3a <br />I Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> Committee Chair Megan Ricke and Committee member Lynette Kreidler outlined 1996 <br />I Committee goals. They included Perry Park fundraising and play structure installation, <br /> TCAAP planning, trail system expansion, ADA compliance, supporting Ramsey County <br /> renovation of Tony Schmidt Park and revising the five year Capital Plan. <br />I Item 3b <br /> Economic Development Authority <br />I Mr. Fritsinger briefed Council on several of the statutory requirements and powers of an <br /> Economic Development Authority (EDA). After discussion, it was the sentiment of <br /> council for Staff to pursue the process creating such a governmental unit. <br />I Item 3c <br /> Economic Development Committee <br />I Committee member Ray McGraw outlined 1996 Committee goals, They included <br /> completing a marketing brochure, being more proactive in a business retention program <br />~ and obtaining feedback from residents and the business community. <br />I <br />
