<br />-- - -.--- ------- <br /> I <br />additional money raised would be used not only for capital improvements to the .1 <br />football program but for many youth activities in School Districts 621 and 623. It I <br />was then obvious that there was potential to assist in funding many types of youth <br />programs and activities in our conununity. I <br /> The organization was renamed, becoming the North Suburban Youth I <br />Association. A Board of Directors was appointed. NSYA Board members were <br />selected from representatives of a variety of area youth activities. An Executive I <br />Director and support staff were hired. Roseville Area Youth Football Association I <br />(RAYFA) was reformed under the umbrella of NSYA. The RAYFA Board operates <br />their program independent of the NSYA Board of Directors. I <br /> Since that time, NSYA has expanded it's gambling sites, and currently I <br />operates at two bingo halls, as well as restaurant bars. NSYA has also expanded the .. <br />boundary area to include a portion of School District 625. The 625 area is limited <br />to supporting youth in the neighborhood adjacent to the bar location. In addition I <br />to gambling, NSYA has raised funds through donations, festival food vending, I <br />specialty item sales and a golf tournament. <br /> NSYA has, through the years, distributed in excess of one million dollars to I <br />youth programs and activities. These activities include; sports, cultural, I <br />educational, rehabilitation, family services, and an annual scholarship program. <br />The Board of Directors meet each month to conduct the business of the I <br />organization. Grant applications from groups and individuals are accepted each I <br />month and the applicants are invited to attend the regular montWy meeting. The <br />applicants provide information regarding their request and are interviewed by the I <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
