AOl}roval of Minutes <br /> I The City Council is asked to approve the minutes ofthe February 20,1996, Council <br /> W orksession and February 26, 1996, regular Council meetings. <br /> I b. Consent Calendar <br /> 1. Committee Appointments <br /> I The Council is asked to make the following Committee appointments for the <br /> remainder of 1996: <br /> 'Tom Andreason - EDC <br /> . 'Jeanne Winiecki - EDC <br /> 2. Valentine Hills Playstructure <br /> I Staff has invited Patti Horton to the meeting to formally receive the $2,000 <br /> playground donation. The Council may wish to pull this from the consent calendar <br /> for formal recognition as staff has notified the local newspapers in an attempt to <br /> I get some positive public relations_ <br /> 3. Claims and Pavroll <br /> I The City Council is asked to approve claims in the amount of$193,008.71 and <br /> payroll for the period most recently ended. The Council should note payment of <br /> $79,837.84 to Midwest Asphalt for Pay Estimate No. Four, and $47,023 to <br /> I MCWS for March Sewer Service_ <br /> c. Unfinished and New Business <br /> I 1. 1996 Street Improvements <br /> The neighbors on Oak Avenue have agreed to the following; 26 foot wide street, <br /> I surmountable curbs and the Alternate I cul-de-sac_ The neighborhood has also <br /> requested final approval of plans and specifications_ Staff has met with the <br /> residents and is willing to recommend approval of the first three items. Should the <br /> I Council agree to these, I would encourage the Council to be clear with the <br /> residents that several future problems may occur. Those relate to lawn damage <br /> ,. from plowing, potential drainage control problems and vehicles driving over the <br /> island or lawns due to the lack of turn radius in the cul-de-sac. <br /> I <br />
