I'
Oak A venue Residents Letter
~e March 5, 1996
1 The residents of Oak A venue have voted for a total reconstruction of Oak
1 Avenue with the inclusion of the following elements:
Maintain the primary street width at 26 feet.
.
1 . Installation of surmountable curbs.
1 . Culdesac redesigned according to the engineer's design
modifications (including street width, proximity to existing street
location) as reflected in MSA Consulting Engineers Exhibit #1, faxed
I to Brian Fritsinger and Dwight Warkentin, dated March 1, 1996.
. Final approval by the Oak Ave. residents or a designated representative
1 of the Oak Avenue Reconstruction Plan prior to implementation.
We would like to emphasize that we as a neighborhood have amended
1 our original opposition to total reconstruction and adopted many of the
Council's recommendations. Our decision was reached in part based on
. the assurances given by Mr. Stonehouse that inconveniences to individual
residents would be kept at a minimum.
1 In turn, there remain many specific individual concerns regarding the
impact that reconstruction will have on individual lots. We submit this
neighborhood decision to you contingent on our ability to have final
1 approval of the working plans as they impact those lots adjacent to the
reconstruction where there are unique issues with regard to landscaping
and grading.
1 In submitting our position to you, we want to reiterate our appreciation for
the Council's efforts to involve us in the decision making process, and
1 your patience with us as we have absorbed the detail and complexities
involved in this issue.
I J ,< t.J ;J~
I
Dwight Warkentin
1 1666 Oak Avenue
I~ (For The Oak A venue Neighborhood, minutes taken at the March 4, 1996
neighborhood meeting)
1
