MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />I WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 1996 <br /> 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. <br />I ARMY RESERVE CENTER <br /> (HWY 96 & LEXINGTON CLASSROOM) <br />I <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br />I Parks & Recreation Director, Cindy Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />I ROLL CALL <br />I Present were Chair Megan Ricke, Anita Larson, Don Messerly, Mary Robinson, Dorothy <br /> McClung, Lynette Kreidler, Beverly Aplikowski, Council Liaison; Cindy Walsh, Parks & <br /> Recreation Director; and Tracy Petersen, Program Supervisor. <br />I Absent were Maureen Bodene and Louis Speggen. <br /> APPROVE MINUTES <br />I. Minutes recorded by Julie Tostenson. The Minutes were approved unanimously. Motion <br /> by Lynette Kreidler, seconded by Beverly Aplikowski to approve minutes. <br />I COUNCIL REPORT <br />I Beverly Aplikowski stated that at the last Council meeting the Council voted to put <br /> $2,000 towards the playstructure request without the money coming out of the <br /> Community Services Fund. The Highway 96 project was discussed and it was stated that <br />I we need to get the City pushed up on the list, so the construction can start a lot sooner. In <br /> 1998, New Brighton to Highway 10 was slated for construction. The Street Management <br />I program was discussed, the Arden Hills residents do not seem to want the roads fixed, <br /> part of that is due to having tQ pay the assessments. The residents would rather have the <br /> roads recycled. Some of the residents did not want to change the look of the roads and <br />I areas. The Council approved the Gambling License for St. Mary's at Holiday & Bingo <br /> Hall. On Friday, March 1, there will be a CouncillStaffRetreat. The Buetow Planning <br /> Case was approved. There was a Proclamation to Kevin Fuller at the Council meeting. <br />I The County Road F contractor was given his last payment. <br />~. <br />I <br />I <br />
