I
d. Februarv 22.1996 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes
_I
e. Joint Facility Bondin!! Bill Request
I have been at the State Capital every day for the past 2 weeks working on our bonding
request. It has turned out to be a very political request and as of the preparation of this I
document, the request has not been included in either Committee Bill. I will have more
information on Monday. I
f. March 12, 1996 Thank You From Patty Horton
g. Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department Items I
The Fire Department has begun tearing down Old Station No.2 in North Oaks. Until such
time that this building is replaced, all calls will be serviced from the three remaining I
stations. Mr. Post has also been notified that the Department rebuilt #761 rather than
charging the City for capital expenditures. The Council may recall that the Department I
had proposed this as a capital expenditure during the 1996 budget process. This
expenditure was not supported by Mr. Post.
h. January Tax Settlement Update I
Mr. Post has done some additional research to document recent tax settlements. It appears
almost one hundred percent ofrefunds to petitioners was directly attributable to CPI. The I
good news is it appears the County may have over withheld tax settlement funds for
petitions received. If this is the case the City could have a positive May Tax Settlement.
Staff will keep the Council updated. ..
i. February 28.1996 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes
j. CPI Economic Recovery Grant I
Mr. Ringwald is nearing completion on the grant application from CPI to DTED. The
process had been delayed for an extended period of time as a result of CPI' s internal I
review process requirements. The State should begin its review of the application over the
next couple of weeks.
I
, I
I
I
I
..
I
