ARTICLE XXI - VACATION . 21.3 A regular employee cannot carry into the next calendar year more accrued vacation benefits than forty (40) hours in excess of the total hours which the employee has actually accrued during that year. . (Add) In unusual or extenuating circumstances in order to accomplish the work programs of the EMPLOYER the employee may be allowed to carry accrued, unused vacation beyond forty (40) hours into the next calendar . year with the prior approval of the Department Head. 2. ARTICLE VIII - WORK SCHEDULES . 8.3 The employees shall be allowed one coffee break in the morning of twenty ~ thirty (30) minutes in duration, exclusive inclusive of driving time to I and from the Public Works building, if required, and no coffee break in the afternoon. They shall be allowed a lunch period of thirty (30) minutes for 1 which they will receive no pay. 3. Contract language - - see options in Appendix I and Appendix II j, 4. ARTICLE XXII - GROUP INSURANCE I 22.1 Effective January 1, 1996 the EMPLOYER will contribute up to a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) per month per employee including I dependent coverage to the Operating Engineers, Local No. 49 Health and Welfare Administrators for group insurance. Employees may participate at their own expense in the life and short-term disability insurance plans as - provided for under the EMPLOYER'S current insurance carrier. - - 5. WAGES - APPENDIX A a) For 1996 add $.25 per hour (1.65%) to the 3 year top rate for Maintenance Worker = $15.24 per hour and adjust steps in the schedule in accordance with Section 8 - New Employees. b) Working Foreman 1995 hourly rate increased by $.85 to $16.09 per hour.
