The attached plan <br /> is consistent with the revised compensation plan reviewed and suggested for approval by the City <br />I Council during 1995. The intent of this plan was to develop a pay structure which was linear in <br /> nature and met all state mandated pay equity requirements. By utilizing the DOER software <br /> provided by the Department of Employee Relations, Staff has verified compliance with pay <br />. equity requirements. <br /> This plan does not include any specific percentage increase for each position. The actual salary <br />.. change in the step system may show an increase or decrease from 1995, depending on the <br /> relationship of the position to the linear line approach. <br />. The plan also includes a $10 per month increase in monthly health insurance. <br />. Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends the adoption of Resolution #96-07, Adopting 1996 Compensation Plan for <br /> City Employees. The approval of this pay plan is subject to the City agreeing to the terms of the <br />I contract with Local #49 from January I, 1996 through December 31, 1997. <br />I <br />I <br />. <br />. <br />i' <br />I <br />
