<br /> ~ - <br /> 'I <br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - APRIL 29.1996 6 .' <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve the 1996 Local #49 , <br /> Contract Settlement as presented, and authorize execution of all necessary <br /> documents contained therein. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). I <br /> F, Resolution #96-07. Adoption 1996 Comnensation Plan for City Employees <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated the intent of the 1996 Compensation Plan was to develop a pay structure I <br /> that was linear in nature and met all state mandated pay equity requirements. He noted the plan , <br /> contains no general percentage range increase. Rather, ranges were specifically adjusted and <br /> went down in some cases. He stated the objective was to have all employees in pay compliance <br /> relative to job point values. I <br /> MOTION: Malone moved and Keirn seconded a motion to adopt Resolution No. 96-07, <br /> Adopting 1996 Compensation Plan for City Employees. The motion carried I <br /> unanimously (5-0), <br /> ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS , <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated the Cleveland A venue bridge had been repaired and is open again. <br /> Councilmember Keirn inquired if the weight restriction had been changed, Mr. Fritsinger replied .. <br /> the weight restriction is 6,000 pounds, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger noted that County Road F bridge will be closed for road construction in New . <br /> Brighton, and that Staff has requested New Brighton place a sign on Old Highway 10 to notify <br /> the residents, Councilmember Aplikowski noted that a barricade had been placed before the I <br /> bridge, with no notice to traffic, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated that several residents had expressed concern about Northern States Power I <br /> (NSP) potentially doing work in the area that would require tearing up portions of County Road <br /> F, He stated Mr, Stafford contacted NSP, and they indicated they have no plans to do work of <br /> this nature in the area this summer. I <br /> Mayor Probst inquired if the hot mix was now being delivered. Mr. Stafford replied that the <br /> asphalt plants would be open by the second or third week in May, and material would be readily I <br /> available at that time, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated staff is working on creating a system of performance areas for the Local I <br /> Performance Aid Program required by the State. He stated a plan must be presented in 1997, but <br /> efforts must be made towards the project in 1996. I <br /> Mr. Fritsinger stated a resolution was being drafted regarding the joint State Highway 35W <br /> corridor group, He stated a number of issues will affect the neighboring cities of Arden Hills, .. <br /> I <br />
