Livable Communities Act Goals <br />I Community Development Director Ringwald reviewed briefly the goals related to the <br /> implementation of the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act for the calendar year of 1996. <br />I Mr. Ringwald noted in November of 1996, the City Council adopted Resolution Number 95-75, <br /> which stated that the City of Arden Hills was electing to participate in the Local Housing <br />I Incentives Account Program under the Act for the calendar year of 1996. This was the rust <br /> action required to participate in the HousingIncentives Account Program. The second action - <br /> required to participate in the Program is submitting the goals to the Metropolitan Council for <br />I action. <br /> Mr. Ringwald indicated the general framework is as follows: <br />I 1. Given that the City of Arden Hills, South of Highway 96, is fully developed the <br /> potential for' any meaningful number of new residential uruts lies with the <br />I development of land North of Highway 96, within the Twin Cities Army <br /> Ammunition Plant. The City's participation in the Program and goals are linked <br /> to the residential component of the redevelopment of TCAAP. <br />I 2.
