I -S-( s-
I tJ,,"',
o;;,...~l,i/<"
" Commission Larson asked what constituted the PUD documents, if the applid~tO(fp<)rt was
included in the PUD Documents and a delineation of the Key Landscape Elemenfl!w'arcluded.
Mr. Ringwald explained the PUD document is a very specific document which incorporates all
I of the conditions, maps, and charts. The elements of the applicant's which were approved would
be included in the document and a blow up of each Key Landscape Element which illustrates
specifically what is being required and approved is included.
I Commissioner Larson noted Staff had previously recommended that payment of the appropriate
park dedication fee be required rather than dedication of land.
I Mr. Ringwald explained this had been revised due to the recommendation of the Park and
I Recreation Committee and the Director of Parks and Recreation. The City currently has a 70
foot easement on the property west of the parking lot and east of the existing trail. Control Data
is requesting and the Park and Recreation Committee is concurring that Control Data dedicated
I to the City that property and also and additional 30 foot strip adjacent to it. The City would then
own the westerly 100 feet of the approximately 200 foot wide wooded area. Control Data would
own the easterly 100 feet and would be responsible for maintaining their portion of the required
I buffer.
Commissioner Larson stated he understood the need for flexibility on the site but felt that a
.. larger continuous area set aside to be preserved was more valuable than having landscaping
divided up around the site. He noted this item could be visited again in the future if there was
rationale to do so.
I Larson moved, seconded by Sand, to approve Planning Case #96-05, PUD Master Plan,
subject to the 12 conditions outlined above and amending Condition 5 by inserting
I inserting "prior to any further site plan approvals are granted on Parcels A-I and C" after
"...Femwood Avenue shall be eliminated and replaced with landscaping". The motion
I carried unanimously (4-0).
Sand moved, seconded by Carlson to approve Planning Case #96-05, preliminary minor
I subdivision, subject to the three conditions outlined above. The motion carried
unanimously (4-0).
I
I
I
--
I
